The Void
The first short film that I wrote and directed while at DePaul. It's based on my experiences with depression. Currently on YouTube for viewing.
I started writing this film in August 2024. At the time, I was about to start my third year at DePaul. A lot had been going on in my mind. I hadn't made many friends during my first two years, and it really made me question my future. Was I meant to be alone for the rest of my life? This was when I started jotting my thoughts down, and turned it into a script.
This was the first short film that I made, so I started reaching out to people on how I could get the production office to approve of it. That's when I met my producer, and she was able to guide me through the steps to greenlighting this film. I'm lucky that I had a talented cast and crew to bring this film to life. We shot the film in October 2024. It was completed on January 1st, 2025.
